Ladies and gents, I have some news. Brace yourselves because it may shock you as much as it shocked me… I looked back on the last few weeks and it turns out – I don’t even know how to say this – I cook a lot.
Yah, I know. Me. The person who hates cooking and used to eat out nearly every day. Worse, the mum who didn’t like cooking and let her kids eat restaurant food more often than not. (In my defence, my kids benefit greatly – perhaps even more – from my other skills.)
I looked back yesterday and realised that I’ve cooked something from scratch nearly every single day. I’m not even sure how long it’s been or how this happened, but I do think it’s something to do with my recent declutter.
I have already donated many bags of clothes and shoes, and am now collecting up more of the same plus toys, small appliances etc to give away.
Yes, there have been other changes too recently – I had a birthday, I’m starting to sleep train the baby, the weather has been an absolute delight etc. But it turns out that once people embrace minimalism – I mean really embrace it in a bear hug – they find they have time for other things and often those things include cooking! Who would’ve thought?!
So, why am I telling you this useless piece of information? Well, firstly, this blog is where I come to share random thoughts. But secondly, it means you can expect more recipes as I experiment in the kitchen.
I’ll also be sharing my experiences with sleep training, minimalism, life in general and even Ramadan.
Hold onto your hats friends – it’s going to be a crazy ride.
